Artistic Programme

The Artistic Programme of ANIMASYROS features seven competition sections, each accompanied by its respective awards. These are: the International Competition, the Student Competition, the Feature Film Competition – Audience Prize, the award for Best Greek-Language Film presented by the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (EKKOMED), the TV & Commissioned Films Competition, the K.ID.S Competition showcasing films for children, and the Animapride Competition dedicated to LGBTQI+ themed films.

These competition sections are complemented by the festival’s Tributes, which highlight significant strands of the international animation scene, as well as the International Panorama, which each year presents original and innovative films distinguished by their directorial vision.

Below you can find the Screening Schedule of ANIMASYROS.
Screenings will take place at the Apollon Theatre, the Cyclades Chamber of Commerce Conference Hall (Valmas Hall), the Capuchin Monastery (Ano Syros), Finikas Square and Miaouli Square and are with free entry to the public.

The Festival screenings, unless otherwise indicated, are suggested for ages 15+.
All festival screenings are screened with Greek and English subtitles, unless otherwise indicated.
